Honorees
Joseph and Rosemary DiLeo | 2020 American Cancer Society Derby Dash Soiree Honorees
Joseph and Rosemary have been valued partners of the American Cancer Society since 2009, sponsoring many of our events in Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse such as Relay For Life, Cuisine for a Cure, Hops for Hope, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Five Eat Five.
Joe has also participated in our Real Men Wear Pink Campaign since 2016.
Joe DiLeo says, “our partnership with the American Caner Society is critical, it will aid in the advancement of medical research, impacting survivors rates for all forms of cancer, for all genders and for all races. Your generosity of time and money stays here in our community to aid in research and in education.”
Joe and MassMutual of New York State have spent many years on stage at our events interacting with our participants who support our events and who have been affected by cancer. Their partnership now reaches beyond sponsorship of our events because in May of 2019, Rosemary was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She underwent many rounds of chemotherapy treatment, Rosemary also received a bone marrow transplant, with her son as her donor. Today, she is 10 months post-transplant, and is feeling stronger and better every day.
As honorees, they want to recognize our supporters who continue to give to help those affected by cancer. And today, you can Round up for Rosemary by making a donation in her honor.
Thank you.
